Description of the Golèse – Chardonnière section
From the Refuge de la Golèse, you first head for the Col de la Golèse, located just a few metres from the refuge. From there, walking towards Chardonnière, you arrive on the Morzine side, in the Manche Valley (Haute-Savoie, France).
You start by following a dirt track for a few hundred metres before entering a small wood. Once you reach the Refuge de Chardonnière, you arrive at the lowest point of the Tour des Dents Blanches (1,350 m). At Chardonnière, there are no scree slopes or high-mountain landscapes: here you find yourself in a magnificent mountain pasture, amidst the livestock that usually grazes there during the summer season.
This stage, like the previous one, is very short (less than an hour’s walk) and presents no difficulty. The path is wide, easy and very well signposted.
